We are interested in a business partnership to restore, rehabilitate, and replant old fruit orchards in the highlands of East TN and adjacent counties to help make a thriving fruit industry for new markets and weather conditions of today. Should be located within an hours drive of Johnson City (disregard the default map below; the website requires an address but it is not relevant). We are interested in fruit for diverse markets, including cider markets, value-added markets, brandy markets, and also U-Pick/Retail locally, if fruit is of that quality. We are interested in grafting and nursery stock to support varieties that are adapted to be successful in this region under new weather conditions and possibly even growing out an heirloom fruit nursery business. Our acreage needs depends on the apple varieties and spacing, age of trees, and fruit quality, and water source. The business partnership could be our management, labor, and materials (ecological sprays) in exchange for free fruit, or it could be a lease, or could be a purchase under the right circumstances.
