I am a beginning farmer seeking 25–50 acres in Tennessee to establish WildWander Farms, a diversified working farm built around sustainable agriculture, responsible land stewardship, and a long-term connection to the community.
My vision begins with the land itself: a combination of usable pasture and growing space along with mature woodland that can be thoughtfully preserved and managed. I plan to grow vegetables, herbs, berries, orchard fruit, cut flowers and seasonal crops, with future production including Christmas trees and specialty greenery. I also hope to raise poultry and livestock as the farm develops.
Although I am pursuing farming as a new full-time venture, agriculture and gardening are not entirely new to me. I have hands-on experience gardening and growing vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruit, trees and other plants, as well as experience helping care for and raise farm animals. I am committed to continuing my agricultural education and developing the farm responsibly in phases rather than attempting to build everything at once.
Over time, I hope to develop WildWander Farms into a diversified agritourism farm where visitors can reconnect with agriculture and nature through a farm market, U-pick flowers and produce, seasonal crops and activities, educational experiences, woodland trails, and appropriate animal interactions. Longer-term possibilities include farm stays and small farm-based celebrations and events, subject to the land, local regulations, and the farm’s ability to support them.
I am particularly interested in a property with approximately 25–50 acres, dependable water, suitable septic or soil conditions, usable agricultural land, mature woods, legal road access, and preferably a creek, spring, or pond. Existing farm infrastructure such as a farmhouse, barn, fencing, well, or outbuildings would be wonderful but is not required. I am open to a property that needs work.
I am interested in exploring traditional purchase opportunities as well as owner financing, lease-to-own arrangements, long-term leases, mentorship, or farm succession opportunities with landowners who want to see their property continue to be cared for and used agriculturally.
My goal is to build something lasting: a productive farm that cares for the land, supports itself through diversified agriculture, and eventually becomes a place where others can experience the beauty of farming, nature, and community.
