Looking for the following:

Type of opportunity:

Sale (Standard), Sale (Owner Financed), Lease (1 to 5 Years), Lease with Option to Buy, Internship / Mentorship, Business Partnership. More info: Since a 20 day bout of Covid in March 2020, I have discovered organic/whole foods. Now I buy my food from local farmers. I have lost over 50 pounds, am off all my meds & vastly improved my energy. I am developing a farm plan that includes poultry, water fowl and pigs. I intend to move to a warm weather free state. TN is the obvious choice. I have income from investments and a home to sell. I invest in private companies and lend money across the country, so business partnerships are a possibility. Interested in buying/leasing pasture/woodlands to improve with animals. Raising non-GMO fed animals is the goal. The 50 acres is negotiable.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Well / Pond / Other water source. More info: While all the equipment above is an end goal, the only initial necessary item is water.

Current production on farm:

Aquaculture, Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Fallow, Hay or pasture, Hogs, Poultry (Broiler/Layer), Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat), Woodlot or forest products. More info: The initial plan is to grow healthy animals. So long as the land hasn’t been treated with Bayer/Monsanto products in the last three years, I’m willing to consider it. I have been studying small sawmills and fodder systems, so I’d be willing to learn more about them. I’ve been studying solar and hydro off grid power systems.

Current farming practices:

Biodynamic, Transitioning to organic, Ecological production but not certified, None, the property is not being farmed. More info: I have spent 18 months following nearly a dozen farmers who improve their land with their animals. So long as the land it’s not a chemical dump, I will consider it.

Qualifications and goals:

Previous farming experience:

Employee

Number of years experience:

3

Other qualifications:

More info: I worked three seasons on a farm working with corn in high school. I have three college degrees and an insatiable appetite for learning. I taught myself to invest in the stock market. I taught myself to invest in alternative vehicles across the country. I taught myself nutrition at the molecular level. My mother was raised on a 100 acre farm. I feel my transition to farming will be easier for me than her transition to processed foods was back in the day.

Production goals:

Aquaculture, Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Hay or pasture, Hogs, Orchard, Poultry (Broiler/Layer), Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat), Woodlot or forest products. More info: The plan is to become self-sufficient in terms of food production. If I were to raise cattle, I would prefer heritage breeds for meat. Pasture raised chicken/duck eggs were the start of my transition to whole, healthy foods. Pasture raised beef/pork opened my eyes to what real food taste like.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

I’m looking to create a closed, diversified ecosystem where the soil and the animals contribute to each other’s health.  Other than my compost experiments and brief high school farm experience, I have little farming experience. Of course I had no experience developing complex systems for a regional bank until I did. I had no experience renovating apartment buildings until I did. I had no experience investing in private equity until I did. I also had no experience lending money to entrepreneurs until I did. My track record has been one of success.  I am willing to take well researched chances. I have the relative youth, good health and financial means to reach my goals.
